ESPN Spends First 10 Minutes Praising John Calipari

by:Bobby Reagan10/09/16
coach-k-calipari The annual pro day at Kentucky is officially and underway and if you missed the first 10 minutes you missed a lovefest for Coach Cal. Doris Burke, Fran Fraschilla and Seth Greenberg opened the show talking about how he's changed the culture on the one-and-dones as well as discussing the fan base. Fraschilla started by saying 'there's no coach in America who does a better job of promoting his team and players than Coach Cal.' It's the most accurate statement out there, as all you have to do is look at the shoes he's wearing tonight for that to be evident. They also spent time talking about how Duke is copying the pro day and if there are any other programs that can truly do something like this. The only other one they mentioned was Kansas, due to getting two of the last three No. 1 recruits. It was a nice start, even calling the Kentucky fanbase invasive, which gave me a little chuckle. Time to watch these practices.
