The world lost a great man with the recent passing of Tilford L. Underwood of Paducah yesterday. I did not know Tilford personally and I had never heard of him until today, but I am absolutely certain that he would've gotten along great with all of us here at KSR.
This excerpt from
his obituary explains why:
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services, with his daughter in law, Andrea Underwood officiating. In recognition of Tilford’s dedication to the Big Blue Nation, attendees are encouraged to wear their University of Kentucky attire. No University of Louisville red, please. Please refrain from mentioning Christian Laettner, Duke University, or that @#%# Rick Pitino. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Kirksey, KY.
So on behalf of Big Blue Nation, I extend our thoughts and prayer to the Underwood family for their loss, and big shout-out to Tilford for being a great man and Kentucky fan.
And don't you dare mention Rick Pitino at his funeral.
