Five football Cats received Preseason All-SEC honors from Phil Steele this morning. Sophomore placekicker Austin MacGinnis was named First-Team Preseason All-SEC after setting six school records last season. MacGinnis finished with a school-record 104 points — equaling the SEC lead — and was one of only five kickers in the nation with three field goals of 50+ yards. Sophomore running back Boom Williams was named to the third team special teams as a kickoff returner, junior Jon Toth was named to the fourth-team offense at center, and senior linebacker Josh Forrest and senior defensive lineman Melvin Lewis were honored on the fourth-team defense.
