Five College Football Bets To Make Over At MyBookie: Week 5

Before I cut this work week short to get on the road to Oxford, let’s explore five new bets to consider over at our online betting partner website, MyBookie.ag.

Last week, the Week 4 picks went well when we stayed in the Southeastern Conference. Florida (+10.5 at Tennessee) and Missouri (+7 at Auburn) made us some money for covering as road dogs and we settled for a heartbreaking push when the third SEC dog (Arkansas +2 vs Texas A&M) missed a game-winning field goal to lose by two, thus the push.

Outside of Kentucky’s own conference, Oklahoma (-13.5 vs Kansas State) dropped the bag and the outright win with an upset loss at home as a double-digit favorite. And in the random Friday night play of the week, UTEP shocked Boise State and destroyed the first-half under in the process.

Week 4: 3-2
Week 5: 2-2-1
(Overall: 5-4-1)

Now we get up off the 2-2-1 mat and fight another week with five new bets over at MyBookie, where promo code KSR doubles your deposit.

Kentucky (+7) at Ole Miss

We’ll start with the obvious winner on this week’s board, the ‘Cats at Ole Miss. The line opened last Sunday at four points and has already moved an entire field goal to Kentucky getting a touchdown against the 14th-ranked Rebels. Two words: Chris. Rodriguez.

Georgia (-28.5) at Mizzou

Don’t let Kent State play with your brain on this one. Georgia took last weekend off and let the Golden Flashes hang around a little bit, but this week the Dawgs will make a statement by destroying Missouri in CoMo. It’s an uncomfortably high point spread for a road SEC team but Georgia is unstoppable and Mizzou can’t respond.

Arkansas (+17) vs Alabama

Alabama isn’t going to lose to Arkansas but last year’s game in Tuscaloosa was close and it’ll be another test for the Crimson Tide this year in Fayetteville. Last year, Arkansas QB KJ Jefferson threw for 326 yards, three TDs, and no INTs in the seven-point loss. This year, Alabama’s secondary has shown flaws Jefferson can attack in his rematch, while Arkansas’ defense puts the pressure on Bryce Young with an NCAA-best 20 sacks on the season heading into the game.

NC State (+6.5) at Clemson

I expect a close game when the ACC’s two top-10 teams play in Death Valley Saturday night. Last week, Clemson almost went down to Wake Forest after allowing six TD passes, and NC State will give the Tigers another scare if the Pack’s offensive line can hold up to give Devin Leary time to throw.

Middle Tennessee State (+4) vs. UTSA

This week’s Friday night special is in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, home of MTSU vs. the UTSA Roadrunners in the CBS Sports Network primetime game. The Blue Raiders are getting four points at home after upsetting Miami (the U one) a week ago and that’s enough for me to get behind the home dog.
