Five Kentucky targets make up top ten of updated 2021 recruiting rankings

Five players with Kentucky offers currently make up the top ten of the updated 2021 Rivals recruiting rankings.

In the latest update released today, Jonathan Kuminga held firm at No. 1 overall, followed by Patrick Baldwin Jr. at No. 2, Paolo Banchero at No. 3, Jaden Hardy at No. 6 and Kennedy Chandler at No. 10.

As of today, those are the only five prospects in the class of 2021.

Here are the first ten players on the updated list:

  1. Jonathan Kuminga
  2. Patrick Baldwin Jr.
  3. Paolo Banchero
  4. Chet Holmgren
  5. Jabari Smith
  6. Jaden Hardy
  7. A.J. Griffin
  8. Michael Foster
  9. Harrison Ingram
  10. Kennedy Chandler

From there, Trevor Keels (No. 14), Peyton Watson (No. 16), Max Christie (No. 17), Efton Reid (No. 24), Franck Kepnang (No. 26), Moussa Diabate (No. 27), and Trey Kaufman (No. 83) are among the other names with Kentucky interest and could receive an offer at some point in the coming months.

In the updated 2022 rankings, sophomore phenom Emoni Bates came in at No. 1, followed by Jalen Duren at No. 2, Chris Livingston at No. 3, Dior Johnson at No. 4, Caleb Houstan at No. 5, Brandon Huntley-Hatfield at No. 6, Amari Bailey at No. 7, Jaden Bradley at No. 8, Keyonte George at No. 9, and Jarace Walker at No. 10.

Outside of the top ten, Brandon Miller (No. 14), Sadraque Nganga (No. 15), Skyy Clark (No. 17), and Bruce Thornton (No. 21) are just a few other names Kentucky is expected to have interest in.
