Florida guard Andrew Nembhard withdraws from the draft, will transfer

Today, numerous reports confirmed that Nembhard, who started 67 games in two years for the Gators, will transfer from the school. Jeff Goodman was the first to break the news. https://twitter.com/GoodmanHoops/status/1266759294839599106?s=20 Nembhard, a former five-star prospect out of high school, averaged 11.2 points, 5.6 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per contest as a sophomore this past year. With Nembhard now exploring his transfer options, Florida now has three remaining options at point guard. The first is Tre Mann, a fellow former five-star prospect, who is also testing the NBA Draft waters. From there, Cleveland State transfer Tyree Appleby is seen as the likely starter, with Ques Glover expected to be the primary backup in Gainesville next season. While Nembhard's departure is a hit to the Florida roster, the Gators are still set to return Keyontae Johnson - the team's leading scorer last season - and Scottie Lewis - a former five-star prospect - in Gainesville next year after both players decided to turn down the NBA Draft this offseason. Johnson averaged a team-high 14.0 points and 7.1 rebounds per contest to go with eight double-doubles on the season, while Lewis averaged 8.5 points and 3.6 assists per game.
