In the first quarter of #19 Florida’s game today against Tennessee, QB Jeff Driskel went down with an ankle injury and walked to the locker room on crutches after throwing a pick-6. Florida’s offense has been anything but dominant throughout the early portion of this season so losing their starting QB to injury for an undetermined amount of time only increases the likelihood of a Kentucky upset next Saturday although the school has yet to announce the extent of Driskel’s injury. Redshirt junior backup QB Tyler Murphy had never thrown a pass in his Gator career until today.

Florida is currently up on the Vols 17-7 in what has been one of the ugliest starts to a college football game I’ve seen in quite awhile, with a combined 7 turnovers in the first 30 minutes of game time. Also, Florida’s QB got hit in the facemask by a snap from the center while he wasn’t looking. Confusion everywhere, but Driskel will be one player to watch in the days leading up to next Saturday.
