After Kentucky's stunning loss to Southern Miss, few thought the Cats had a chance of upsetting the Gators on Saturday, especially in the Swamp; however, Kentucky's Jekyll and Hyde performance wasn't enough to stop Orlando Sentinel writer Mike Bianchi from trying to shock the world by taking Kentucky over Florida in his college football picks last week. Well, Bianchi was wrong, and he feels so dumb for picking the Cats that he's self-imposing a one week suspension on his college football predictions. "I committed suicide by predicting the abysmally awful Kentucky Mildcats would beat the Florida Gators," Bianchi wrote. "Don't ask me why I made this preposterous prediction. I thought I had a premonition and a hunch, but obviously I just had a temporary brain infarction." "It's also why I'm going to penalize myself for the inane prediction that Kentucky would upset UF," he continued. "I don't want to be a hypocrite, and this is why I'm self-imposing a one-week suspension on picking football games." Only one member of the KSR crew picked Kentucky to upset Florida, and his name rhymes with the KSR commenter Few Dranklin. I'd suggest we penalize Drew for his blind optimism, but honestly, sending him to cover the New Mexico State game seems like punishment enough. [Orlando Sentinel]
