Andrew Nembhard, an All-SEC freshman in 2018-19 and a star in the Florida Gators' backcourt the past two seasons, will take his talents to Gonzaga for the remainder of his college basketball career. Nembhard flirted with the NBA Draft after his sophomore season ended abruptly this past March, then he said he'd return to school but not to the University of Florida. Today he announced he will be a Bulldog in Spokane, Washington, just a short drive from Gainesville, Florida. (2,700 miles. I looked it up.) He also considered Duke, Memphis, USC, Stanford and Georgetown. Nembhard will likely sit out the upcoming season and then step right in to lead Gonzaga in 2021-2022. At Florida he started 67 games over the course of two seasons with an average of 9.5 points and 5.5 assists per game. In his last game as a Gator he watched Kentucky erase an 18-point deficit to win the game, the final game of the season for both teams, in stunning fashion. https://youtu.be/SLxrJ4SbDns
