Football Cats dish out some post-season awards

Fresh off of Randall Cobb being snubbed by Heisman voters, the UK football team managed to regroup and hand out their awards for the 2008 season.  Junior defensive back Trevard Lindley was named as the team MVP and senior wideout/master of entertainment Richard Lyons Jr. was named as the Most Outstanding Offensive Player.  Here are the others who brought home some hardware: Most Valuable Player: Lindley Most Outstanding Offensive Player: Lyons Most Oustanding Defensive Player: Braxton Kelley Most Inspirational Player: Tony Dixon Most Improved Player: David Jones and Jorge Gonzalez Outstanding First-Year Player: Randall Cobb Special Teams Player of the Year: Tim Masthay Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman: Garry Williams Jerry Claiborne Award: Tim Masthay Most Valuable Scout Team Players: Trevino Woods (Offense), Will Johnson (Defense)
