Football Is Starting Earlier This Year (And A Player Gets Arrested)

Randall Cobb doesn’t have much to do with this post, but we only have so much longer we can use pictures of him, so here you go.

Per Chris Low at ESPN, Kentucky football has moved its spring camp up to March 23rd this year, a week earlier than originally slated.  The spring game will still be on the 23rd of April though, so don’t go trying to change your hotel bookings just yet.  Originally Kentucky was the last SEC team to start their practices, but they now begin with Auburn and a week ahead of Ole Miss.  The spring game, however, is still the last spring game of the SEC.

In other football notes, defensive lineman Mark Crawford was arrested yesterday near north campus when he almost hit another car on Euclid Avenue.  Crawford was arrested for driving on a suspended license and charged with failure to maintain insurance and careless driving as well.  That sucks and all, but if you’re going to have a football player arrested, it’s much better that they are because of traffic violations and not drunken disorderlies, DUI’s or whatever else the dirty Vols get arrested for.  Still, news is news, so there ya have it.
