[caption id="attachment_194233" align="aligncenter" width="499"] UK Athletics[/caption] Kyle Cody was a really solid pitcher for the Kentucky Wildcats from 2013-2016, ranking 11th in UK history in career strikeouts. Now that Cody is making his way through the Minor League Baseball ranks, he's showing that he can capitalize on the potential he showed in Lexington. Cody has been taking the mound for the Hickory Crawdads, the Class A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. The 22-year-old right hander started on the hill today by throwing five hitless innings on his way to seven shut out innings. His start today, paired with how he's been pitching as of late, got some love from MinorLeagueBaseball.com's Twitter account. https://twitter.com/MiLB/status/889262334820143105 Not to mention, Cody's last six starts have been almost unhittable. His accumulated stats for his last six starts are 39 innings pitched, giving up only 15 hits and 2 earned runs, with only 11 walks and 47 strikeouts. Those numbers are nothing short of masterful, and Cody should be seeing his name rise up the prospect board for the Rangers soon enough if he keeps it up. @BrettBibbinsKSR
