Maile's homer gave the Rays a 2-0 lead in the second inning over the Texas Rangers. The northern Kentucky native currently has a three-game hitting streak, including five hits in the past eight at-bats. Maile was drafted by the Boston Red Sox out of high school in 2009, but turned them down to attend Kentucky. He was then selected by Kentucky in the eight round of the 2012 MLB Draft by the Rays.
