Early this morning it was reported by Northeast Ohio HS Sports that Young was shot and killed, two weeks shy of leaving for college. He was headed to Tuskegee University to begin his college career, per Justin Rowland, after graduating from Massillon Washington High School. https://twitter.com/NEOhsSports/status/1419998866192142343 Details are unknown at this time. https://twitter.com/NEOhsSports/status/1420008517528866824 Young received a scholarship offer to the University of Kentucky in January of 2020 and interest was high on both sides. Recruited by Vince Marrow to be the next in the Ohio to Kentucky pipeline, Young's Twitter timeline is full of pro-Kentucky tweets, and he was followed by several UK Football players and coaches, including Mark Stoops and the official UK Football account. https://twitter.com/KingKy_4/status/1286627553537662976 https://twitter.com/KingKy_4/status/1257483363331514370 https://twitter.com/KingKy_4/status/1250861361913085953 Tragically, Young's life was cut too short only days before he was set to take the next step in a promising journey. Condolences to his friends, family and everyone who knew him in the football community.
