The former Kentucky Wildcat wide receiver has been elevated from the practice squad to WR5 for the Washington Football Team's matchup later on Sunday against the New York Giants at 1 p.m. EST on FOX. https://twitter.com/BenStandig/status/1325480059143151616 This marks the second time this season that Badet has been elevated to the 53-man roster this season. He has appeared in just one NFL game during his still-young career, playing three snaps during the team's 24-3 win over the Dallas Cowboys back in Week 7, however, he did not record a catch. With plenty of inactive players ahead of him, Badet should have an opportunity to haul in that first reception later today. Badet played three seasons in Lexington from 2013-16 before transferring to Oklahoma and playing next to Baker Mayfield for his senior year. During his junior campaign, the now 26-year-old was one of the SEC's premier pass-catchers, hauling in four touchdowns and 670 yards for an average of over 21 yards per catch. Badet went undrafted back in 2018 and has spent time with the Minnesota Vikings and the XFL's Dallas Renegades before signing with Washington.
