I'm honestly surprised this news item about Major League Soccer slipped by...

On Sunday, New York Red Bulls' goalie Danny Cepero scored a goal from 81 yards out, becoming the first MLS goal keeper to score a goal:

And the poor goalie who let the shot by? None other than the Columbus Crew's Andy Gruenebaum, a former University of Kentucky standout. He's the first UK player to be drafted in the MLS. In his final year at UK, he was a first-team All-Conference USA and first-team All-Great Lakes region goalkeeper, and lead the C-USA with a 1.04 goals against average.

Don't feel too badly for Andy. He's currently a backup goalie with the Crew, who have already secured their place in the MLS Cup Playoffs. His nickname is also "the Hebrew Hammer".
