Georgia vs. Alabama: NCAA Play-In Game?

Welcome to Day Two of the SEC Tournament! Wasn’t yesterday just awesome? I mean, what quality basketball! Okay, okay, it was pretty boring. But today will be much better, especially since the Cats take on Ole Miss and Chris Warren’s nasty fro-beard at 3:30 p.m.
First things first. After a convincing win over Auburn yesterday, Georgia plays Alabama at 1 p.m. Both teams are on the bubble for the NCAA tournament. The Bulldogs’ win yesterday certainly helped their tournament resume, but let’s be honest–beating Auburn is not all that impressive. Yahoo Sports’ Steve Megargee has a good story this morning about today’s matchup, which he calls the equivalent of an NCAA tournament play-in game.
