With four All-American's already locked up, Kentucky's 2011 class is already being touted as one of the greatest of all-time. But that doesn't mean it is complete. The Cats remain very active with shooting guard Trevor Lacey and are keeping in contact with a handful of big men, including Stan Simpson of John A. Logan College.
Simpson is a 6'10 former three-star member of the class of 2008, who picked Illinois over Arkansas and Bradley in 2008, and now entertains scholarship offers from DePaul, Memphis, Gonzaga, Cincinnati and Tennessee. Simpson is averaging 12 and 8 for John A. Logan College after scoring 4 total points in eight games as a member of the Illini, which makes him half the man Eloy used to be. Statistically speaking, of course. Sometimes
, he writes poetry.
He also has very little video available of him online. This is it all I could find. He's in there somehwere. It does include "Gangsta's Paradise" though. Bonus!:
According to Simpson, Kentucky will visit with him early next week.
*NOTE: He is not actually confined to a wheelchair. That was a charity event. Yes, there are people who need that clarification.
