Grrrrrr.....still so angry.....want to fight Gene Sapakoff....

by:Thomas Beisner02/26/09
For most people - especially those around here - what happened last night was an embarrassment. It was pathetic in every regard. South Carolina was clicking and Kentucky was clunking. It was a perfect storm striking a leaky dingy. In fact, to borrow the words from Jim Mora: We sucked. We stunk. We couldn't do diddly poo offensively. Basically, I'm very disappointed and frustrated and just want to be left the hell alone today. And, then of course, this guy shows up.  I should have seen it coming.   Gene Sapakoff at The Post and Courier in South Carolina is puffing out his chest like he's, well, the Gamecock of the walk right now after last night's game.  Now, Kentucky fans clearly have nothing to complain about if writers are taking jabs at them after the crap we all saw last night.  South Carolina is clearly better.  But, it's stuff like saying "Gamecocks are saving pathetic SEC", counting Tennessee in the tournament and not UK, passively swiping at Gillispie for alluding that UK's fans are better and finishing off with "Gillispie will hope Rupp fans can get excited for an NIT game against The Citadel" that gets my blood boiling.  Whether or not he's right is debatable and I could really care less.  I'm just pissed.  Maybe it's the old "If I call my sister a whore, then it's because she is one but if you call my sister a whore, you're head is going through that window" situation (no offense sis!), but the fact that yesterday afternoon UK was "back on the map" and after last night's epic crapfest they're "not in the tournament" and South Carolina is "saving the pathetic SEC" has me wanting to curl up in the corner of a dark room and never leave. So, what's the moral of the story? There isn't one. Last night sucked and I'm angry. I just hadn't voiced my opinion yet. Go Cats.
