Guess who's back?

by:Thomas Beisner02/14/11
By definition, the word "indefinite" means "lasting for an unknown length of time".  For our purposes, it generally means "back in time for Kentucky" and that's the case with Mississippi State's Ravern Johnson, whose indefinite suspension lasted a very Stansbury-ish two games.  Despite contributing only three points in a loss in an embarrassing loss to Auburn Saturday night, Johnson's return gives the Bulldogs reason to believe they can hit another high on their roller coaster season Tuesday night in Rupp. Johnson, second on the team with 17 points per game, has presented matchup problems for the Cats in his last two games against them and has averaged 19 points in those contests thanks to 58% from the field and 57% from downtown.  More importantly, his return to a lineup already featuring Dee Bost and Renardo Sidney gives Mississippi State - when they're playing as Dr. Jekyll and not Mr. Hyde -  the best trio in the conference and a group that appears to be ready to present the Cats with the same potential issues that they've struggled with all season.  Generally speaking, a 13-11 team isn't one to fear, especially when you're playing at home.  The truth is, this might be their most difficult home matchup of the season.
