HALF: Kentucky 38 Mississippi State 36
After back-to-back losses, everyone wanted to see Kentucky come out on fire tonight, but so far, that hasn’t happened. Kentucky leads Mississippi State by only two points at half, 38-36.
There have been good things. Kevin Knox seems to be breaking out of a shooting slump with 13 points, including three threes, and PJ Washington hit 5-6 free throws, but for the most part, the Cats can’t shake their bad habits. Kentucky got up by as many as seven in the first half, but sloppy passing, one-handed rebounds, and lackluster effort allowed Mississippi State to cut it to two going in to halftime.
Let’s hope for a better second half.
