Today marks a very special day in the Twitter world as it was on this day, January 30, 2010, that Clay Travis tweeted, "There is a 100% chance that Demarcus Cousins is arrested for something in the next five years. 100%. Write in stone." https://twitter.com/ClayTravis/status/8429005373 Some five years later, Cousins, with the help of a KSR blogger (?), retweeted Travis' original tweet to celebrate making it five years without an arrest. To Travis' credit, though, he owned up to his inaccurate and ill-natured prediction, and even offered to make a donation to a charity of Cousins' choosing. He was a very good sport about it. But that doesn't mean we're going to stop celebrating the tweet's anniversary each year. So, Happy 9th Anniversary! And for what it's worth, not only has Cousins still not been arrested, but he is one of the league's most charitable stars off the court. He was the recipient of the inaugural Offseason NBA Cares Community Assist Award in 2017, a finalist for the 2017-18 Seasonlong NBA Cares Community Assist Award, and his philanthropy touches several communities nationwide, from Sacramento, Ca. to Mobile, Al. Go Boogie.
