After reading Merlene Davis' column announcing her retirement, I found this letter to the editor from Mike Downs blasting the UK players headed for the draft--the "Sayonara Seven," according to him--for making money off their autograph tours. Check out the entire letter above. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, of course, but I wonder if Downs realizes how much money the university and the NCAA made off the "Sayonara Seven" this season. Probably enough to buy Mother Harrison as many cars--any make or model--as she could ever want.
