Hey, it happens other places too...

In case "To Catch a Predator", Tila Tequila or those unneccessarily long wall posts from your aunt hadn't yet made you realize that social media has a tendency to be annoyingly ridiculous, the recent Facebook interactions between Patrick Patterson, John Wall and Kentucky fans surely made you crazy.  It seems that good ole Lexington isn't the only place where the fan-player dynamic gets passionate.  In fact, lowly little Memphis fans even get after their players as evidenced by Wesley Witherspoon's Facebook status after a loss to SMU:
"ONLY IN MEMPHIS HAVE I SEEN SUCH UNLOYAL FANS.  ONE DAY THEY ARE IN YOUR FACE ABOUT HOW GOOD YOUR DOING THE NEXT THEIR BOOING AND LAUGHING AT YOU....JUST CAME TO THE REALIZATION WE ONLY HAVE ABOUT 1000 LOYAL MEMPHIS FANS AND THATS IT SMH WE LOVE THAT 1000 THOUGH"
As in all Facebook status wars, winning (or a post-Two Keys rendezvous) cured everything and Weatherspoon apologized to Memphis fans after Wednesday night's victory (and a career-high 29 points) for how he "disrespected Tiger Nation" (Nation?  Seriously?).  Interestingly enough, he did not apologize for going all caps, which disrespected my eyes.  Nonetheless, the sacred relationship between anonymous fan and veteran swingman seemed to be repaired. So, what did we learn in this situation?  That Wesley Witherspoon is an idiot.  After all, Wesley, it's not Memphis fans criticizing you.  It's those UTEP and UAB fans pretending to be Memphis fans to upset Tiger players and make Memphis fans look bad.  Duh, everyone knows that.
