In a game that featured visits from many commits and highly-ranked recruits, Kentucky simply got outplayed by South Carolina on Saturday night. Four-star commit LB Grant Godfrey (Suwanee, GA), four-star recruit WR Demitrius Bell (Nashville, TN), and four-star recruit WR Ryan Wingo were just a few of the prospects who made their way to Kroger Field Saturday night. Although the current ‘Cats lost, it seemed like the future ‘Cats enjoyed their visits.

Ziesmer Dominates in Defeat

In what was one of the biggest upsets in Kentucky high school football this season, Lexington Catholic took down Boyle County 28-27 Friday night in what was an amazing comeback by the Knights. Although they lost, three-star defensive end Tommy Ziesmer did all he could to will the Rebels to victory.

Ziesmer finished with seven tackles, two TFL and two sacks as he continues his 2022 Mr. Kentucky Football bid. In seven games this season, he has accumulated 34 tackles, 10 TFL and four sacks.

Anthony Brown Goes Off… Again

In what seems to be becoming a weekly occurrence, three-star WR Anthony Brown out of Springfield (OH) has torched another opposing defense. En route to a 38-10 victory over Centerville Friday night, Brown hauled in six receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown.

In addition to the near 80-yard score, Brown made an insane turnaround catch near the sideline, which ended with him staring down the poor defensive back tasked to guard him.

Lemaster: Endzone Magnet

Three-star TE Tanner Lemaster out of Washington Court House (OH) has had himself a very impressive season. This continued Friday night, as he hauled in three receptions for 26 yards and two touchdowns. This brings his season total to 30 receptions for 455 yards and eight touchdowns. Lemaster has found the endzone in six of the Blue Lions’ eight games this season.

The Blue Lion TE got a chance to meet 2024 three-star TE recruit Gavin Grover from Olentangy (OH) at the game Friday night and give him his Kentucky recruiting pitch.

“(Lemaster) said it felt like home and I’m starting to get that home-y feeling about Kentucky too,” Grover told KSR.

Kentucky currently has the 33rd-ranked recruiting class in the country, according to On3.
