Hunter Dickinson‘s Thursday commitment to Kansas created a ripple effect throughout college basketball as the Jayhawks added the No. 1 prospect from the transfer portal to a roster that includes Dajuan Harris, one of the best point guards in the country.

Jeff Goodman quickly adjusted his Top 25 by moving KU to No. 1 in his preseason poll. Similarly, Joe Lunardi intends to upgrade Kansas from a No. 3 seed to a No. 1 seed in his next Bracketology. John Rothstein also changed his projection, although he isn’t as sold. Rothstein has Rock Chalk at fifth in his post-announcement update to his preseason ranking.

Dickinson’s move had a significant impact out in the desert, too. Moments after Dickinson announced his decision, the odds to win the 2024 NCAA Tournament saw movement at the top of the board, where Duke is the betting favorite at 10/1 (gross), but Kansas now has the second-shortest odds.

Bill Self’s club was 16/1 to win college basketball’s national championship in April. Today, Kansas is 11/1 to win the trophy.

Conversely, Kentucky’s odds moved from 11/1 to 18/1 after Dickinson picked Lawrence over Lexington earlier today.

Other notable line movements in the May update include:

— North Carolina from 22/1 to 28/1

— Alabama from 22/1 to 33/1

— Michigan State from 25/1 to 14/1

— Gonzaga from 28/1 to 16/1

— West Virginia from 80/1 to 28/1
