First it was a display case, then a popcorn box, then a phone book, and now Indiana fans can celebrate the biggest victory in the history of their program (to hear them tell it) with a huge blog of red ink. An Indiana artist, promoted by the largest IU site, Peegs.com,
is selling the above "work of art" here, entitled "The Resurrection." It is what the scene on the floor after the Christian Watford shot would have looked like had all the fans merged into one large red blob. It will be perfect for Indiana fans to hang in their houses, next to their "Big Handsome" t-shirts and Dwight Schrute life-size cutouts and remember the program's only memorable moment of the last 25 years. I am considering ordering one myself, not because of its symbolic value in portraying the moment when Indiana basketball returned to glory, but as living proof that every human being, no matter their age, race, gender, creed, or ability, can put something on a canvas and call it art.
