Indiana has too many players

"Hey kid, we don't need you anymore. Thanks for playing." It appears Indiana has been spending too much time worrying about why Kentucky won't play in Bloomington instead of counting how many guys will be on the team next season. According to Matt Norlander, who has the sweetest jumper out of the CBSSports.com crew, Indiana has 13 scholarships for 15 guys on the current roster. Clearly, two people are going to get cut, and one of them will most likely be fifth-year senior Matt Roth. It won't be easy letting Roth go, however; he stuck it out through the ugly years before Crean's hire and has been the ideal teammate for the Hoosiers during his time in Bloomington. Of course, two guys could always give up their scholarships to voluntarily pay for school to stay with the team, but regardless of how it pans out, the blame goes on Tom Crean for oversigning for next season. I can't even imagine the wrath Calipari would feel if he ran off a fifth-year senior to make room for incoming talent.
