Is Gillispie's recruiting a threat to his health?

by:Thomas Beisner07/29/08
What do you mean I shouldn't drink Dr. Pepper in the morning?!?!?! I've made a few jokes in the past about how Billy Gillispie is eventually going to die from exhaustion on the recruiting trail because he attacks it like his family's safety depends on his recruiting success. Obviously, I only kid. He has at least 3-4 titles to win before anyone around here is going let him bail out like that. But, as the one-year anniversary of the death of Wake Forest coach Skip Prosser nears, Dana O'Neill from ESPN takes a serious look at the unhealthy lifestyles of coaches on the recruiting trail and, not surprisingly, Coach Clyde makes a little appearance. All in all, it's a good read if you have the time. I'm heading out to McDonald's right now, but I'll read it when I get home and we can discuss.
