It's a Couch Potato's Need-to-Know Wednesday!

by:C.M. Tomlin06/27/07
Friends, I'll have to apologize for the brevity of today's need-to-know Wednesday, I'm currently in the midst of a move (the Mob has persuasive techniques) and have only limited internet access. The new place, however, will be stronger, better, and Need-to-Know-Wednesdayier than ever before. I hope I can make it up to you with a few good TV-related clips to break up your workday. The first is a montage that one of YouTube's fine denizens was kind enough to put up based upon the much underrated, now defunct, brilliant piece of comedy Arrested Development. If you never caught the show, I'll give you the Tomlin guarantee (A tomlintee, if you will), that all three seasons are worth going out and buying on DVD sight unseen. Please to enjoy below. The second piece of TV goodness today comes from what many believe to be one of the greatest episodes of any show -- the training episode of BBC's original "The Office." The Americanized version is slightly less subtle and played a bit larger, but fans of the Brit version will tell you that Ricky Gervais' brilliance was undeniable. It's really a crime that more fans of the US Office haven't seen the original stuff. Check it out.
