While the BBN was busy watching Big Blue Madness last night, Jamal Murray and Tyler Ulis were pivotal in their team's performances in preseason NBA action. Jamal Murray shot extremely well in the OT loss to Golden State, dropping 16 points on 3/7 shooting from behind the arc, to go along with five rebounds, seven assists, and two steals. Though he filled the stat sheet, his development at the point guard position is what is grabbing major attention from media and fans across the nation. Here are just a few tweets sent out following the impressive performance: https://twitter.com/KingOfThornton/status/787299845568507909 https://twitter.com/chrisadempsey/status/787129787223453696 https://twitter.com/JakeDMarsing/status/787147477371592704 Though Jamal Murray stole a bunch of the hype, Tyler Ulis more than held his own for the Phoenix Suns in the 112-107 victory over the Mavericks. He had a smooth stat line of 14 points, two rebounds, and two assists, and continued to show development as his minutes progress and experience comes with each game. https://twitter.com/paulcoro/status/787144704471212032 https://twitter.com/bobbykaralla/status/787145248547835905 In practice a few days ago, Ulis was one of several former Wildcats participating in a little 3-point competition: Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight also scored in double figures for the Suns, with Bledsoe scoring 17 on 3/7 shooting and 9/9 from the FT line, and Knight scoring 11 on 4/1o shooting. I think this all-UK back court for Phoenix is going to work out just fine. NBA Cats doing NBA Cat things...
