Jarrod Polson is a "fan favorite". No question about it. That star status certainly has its perks, like finding your face on the Christmas ornament of a local 14-year old girl, but being the one that the fans hearts burn for also has its dark side too. And it's a deeply dark curse that Polson is starting to experience after 11 appearances in his freshman season. In an interview with the Kentucky Kernel, the walk-on from Nicholasville says that
hearing fans yell "SHOOOOOTTTTTTTT!" everytime he touches the ball is getting a little old and that he just wants to focus on doing what Coach Cal wants him to do. A fair request and a noble goal. But, young Jarrod, remember that there's a silver lining to every struggle in life and I hope you'll at least look at the bright side here. At least they aren't yelling "PAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSS!".
