Javess Blue Has a Chance to Step Up in the SEC East

by:Corey Nichols06/15/14
JavessBlue Hockey's over, the World Cup is more riot control than soccer, so who's ready for some American college football?  The fall season is inching closer and closer, and to get excited, Saturday Down South has named Javess Blue one of the SEC East's "Seniors who must step up in 2014." There are questions regarding who will be the Wildcats' starting quarterback, with Patrick Towles getting the nod for the Spring Game, and Drew Barker and Reese Phillips poised to challenge him by the start of the season. But, as SDS points out, "No matter who the next quarterback may be, he’ll have to have receivers to throw to. ... Blue is looking to be one of the league's more underrated players." Neal Brown's offense needs weapons to both throw and catch, as the Cats will be hoping to air it out 40+ times each game.  Blue, as a senior, can lead talented underclassmen like Ryan Timmons, Jeff Badet, and T.V. Williams to a high-octane offense.
