meeks Former Wildcat Jodie Meeks sat down with the Players Lounge, presented by Fox Sports Detroit to talk about his past six years playing in the NBA. In the off-season, Meeks shared he's worked on his lateral quickness and speed to improve his game, as well as maintain the weight he likes to keep during the regular season. Meeks said one thing that's important to him is taking a couple weeks off to clear his head before he gets back into maintaining what he's done for almost seven years. When asked if he ever goes back to Kentucky for pickup games, Meeks mentions how he went back over the past five years to take classes in order to complete his degree. In May 2014, he returned to Rupp Arena for not a pickup game, but his graduation ceremony where he received a degree in business marketing. Meeks spent three seasons playing with the Kentucky Wildcats and made several major moves, specifically in his junior season. On December 20, 2009, he tied Tony Delk's record for most three pointers in a game with nine against Appalachian State. Then on January 13, Meeks broke Kentucky's single-game scoring record, previously held by Dan Issel, with 54 points in Kentucky's win against Tennessee.
