Calipari came in at #45, just ahead of Warriors star Kevin Durant, Patriots coach Bill Belichick, and Alabama coach Nick Saban. "If he keeps putting 4-5 guys a year in the NBA – that's crazy, right?" Justin McGuire writes. "A few years down the road, 10 percent of the league played for him?" At the rate he's going, it could happen. Also on The Sporting News' list:

44. Greg Sankey 41. Geno Auriemma 34. Mark Cuban 32. Charles Barkley 31. Tiger Woods 22. Coach K 9. Steph Curry 7. Phil Knight, Nike founder 2. Adam Silver, NBA Commissioner 1. Roger Godell, NFL Commissioner

I mean, I get that Coach K is one of the greatest college basketball coaches of all time and the head of USA Basketball (for now), but 23 spots ahead of Calipari? Since he's been at Kentucky, Calipari has put way more players in the pros than Coach K and has "SportsCenter" hanging on his every word. In terms of influence, no college coach drives the conversation better then Cal these days. Even if you're not ready to say that Calipari eclipses Coach K when it comes to lists like this, the gap is definitely narrower than 23 spots. [The Sporting News]
