John Wall 1, Rajon Rondo 0

by:Bryan1301/23/11
After missing their first potential matchup with injury, John Wall made up for it last night, hitting a key 3-pointer to break a tie with under a minute to play, leading the pitiful Wizards to an 85-83 upset of the Celtics.  Amazingly, the Wizards are 4 games over .500 at home this season, but have still yet to win a road game (0-20).  The Celtics, on the other hand, have the 2nd best road record in the Eastern Conference.  But, at least for one night, the younger of the former UK point guards got the best of his NBA Champion counterpart.   So, who won the individual battle last night: Wall: 16 pts, 6 reb, 4ast, 2 stl, 5 TO Rondo: 13 pts, 2 reb, 9 ast, 2 stl, 4 TO I guess we could call that a push on the individual front.  But, congrats to Wall, who at least for one night, bested the best UK player in the NBA on one of the best teams in the league.  There will no doubt be many more battles for these two guys over the next decade, and UK fans will get to enjoy it all along the way.
