John Wall has been named to the 2014 East All-Star squad, according to Yahoo.com. The first player John Calipari put in the NBA from Kentucky is also the first to make the NBA All-Star game. Coaches selected Wall as one of the seven reserves for the East roster, announced publicly on TNT's All-Star special Thursday night. Earlier this week Wall told the Washington Post, "“It’ll be a blessing. One of my goals I set for myself, and a dream come true to be an all-star, to be mentioned as one of the top, best players in the game.” Congrats to John, who has the Wizards sitting in sixth place in the East and eyeing a spot in the playoffs for the first time since 2008. Cats.
