You have your podcast. Now here are your notes... --- It's almost summertime! That means Pete Thamel is making news. Or at least he's trying to. By now, I'm sure you know all about his fourth investigation of a UK player in four years, this time it's Nerlens Noel as the focus of his New York Times manhunt. Thamel was just on Scott Van Pelt's radio show to talk about his investigation of Noel and he did exactly what we've know him to do for years now: He failed to provide any facts or substance in his report. We'll link to the podcast when SVP gets it up on his site. --- Scout.com's Evan Daniels told cn|2 Sports that UK fans shouldn't be worried about Noel, as far as the NCAA goes. He said Noel could have some minor academic issues from reclassifying so late but he'll be on the court next season. --- In other recruiting news, Amile Jefferson will announce by next Wednesday, according to his high school coach. Duke and NC State are still the frontrunners but don't count Kentucky out of the race, especially with Anthony Bennett staying out west. The opportunity to play is at Kentucky, will he take it??? --- Fox 56 News in Lexington is running a two-part special on KSR over the next two nights. Tune in to the 10:00 newscast to see part one of Jennifer Palumbo's story on how we do things around here in the most ridiculous manner possible. Some of Matt's deepest, darkest secrets will be revealed. --- The final round of the KSTV Casting Call is in LOUISVILLE ON MAY 12 at SAM SWOPE HONDA WORLD from 8-11 am. It is your chance to become a Kentucky sports reporter and cover the Cats for the next year as one of Matt's co-hosts on KSTV. We have already done casting calls in Florence and Lexington and have a number of semifinalists ready to move on to the next round of competition. But first we have to look at the Louisville group and get our final group of semi-finalists. We hope to see you there. Go Cats.
