Joker wants the Cats thinking about winning out

by:Thomas Beisner10/21/10
With five games remaining on the schedule, Kentucky finds themselves with a legitimate shot at being favored in every game and, with the SEC East in chaos this year, a reasonable shot at winning the division.  The point hasn't been lost on the fans and, according to Joker Phillips, it's a point that he wants his team to be very aware of.  According to Larry Vaught, Phillips wants his team to be talking about winning out the remainder of the season and winning playing in Atlanta.  Here is what he told Vaught:
“I want our guys to hear it. Usually you have coaches who say we don't talk about it. Here in Kentucky, we need to hear it. I think we need to hear it."
It's an interesting change from traditional coaching thinking and it's an apparent sign that confidence is at an all-time high for the Kentuky football team right now.  Now, they have to make "Operation: Win" a reality five more times.
