The SEC Football Leadership Council will convene for its annual meeting this weekend, and Jordan Griffin will be there to represent the Wildcats. The Leadership Council consists of one player from each school in the conference, and the group will meet  in the SEC offices in Birmingham this Friday and Saturday.

Griffin, a safety from Riverdale, Georgia, recorded eight solo tackles this year for the Wildcats. He also assisted on five tackles and defended three passes. His best game came against the Florida Gators, when he recorded four tackles inside the Swamp.

During his time at the conference, he’ll join in on discussions with SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey, review NCAA and SEC legislative items and work with football officials on the rules of the game. The players will also have a chance to bring forward their own issues related to student-athlete experience and student-athlete wellness.
