Former Cats reminisce about meeting Muhammad Ali

In light of famed Kentuckian and renowned boxer, Muhammad Ali's death, two former University of Kentucky Wildcats took the time to discuss the time they had the honor of meeting the Greatest, in September of 2014.
The Courier Journal's, Kyle Tucker interviewed a couple members of the regular season undefeated Wildcats, not about their run to the Final Four, but about a moment that will stick with them forever. Before Kentucky's 38-1 season, the team had the opportunity to sit down with Muhammad Ali. Tucker caught up with former #1 draft pick and the NBA's Rookie of the Year, Karl-Anthony Towns as well as his former teammate, center Dakari Johnson.
"It was one of those days you never forget, being in his presence," Towns said in the interview. He also noted Ali's overwhelming presence and ability to connect with you even without speaking.
Johnson was equally in awe of being in Ali's presence.
“We didn’t know we were going to meet him,” Johnson said. “It was just a great moment for each and every one of us, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, really, to meet The Champ...I know what he meant to the world, and I’ll just cherish that moment forever.”
