karltownstwolves usatoday The NBA will return to the KFC Yum! Center for a third consecutive year when the Miami Heat hosts the Minnesota Timberwolves in a preseason game on October 15, 2016. The NBA Rookie of the Year will be the center of attention in his return to the Bluegrass, obviously; as will former Louisville center, Gorgui Dieng. Tickets start at $18 and go on sale Friday, June 3 at 10 am at the KFC Yum! Center Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, online at Ticketmaster.com and by phone at 1-800-745-3000. KFC Yum! Center General Manager Dennis Petrullo said that the support of local fans played a major role in the NBA’s decision to bring a preseason game back to Louisville. “The people of Louisville and those who visit our community love this venue,” said Petrullo. “It’s a well-known fact that Kentucky is basketball country, and it’s a huge testament that the Miami HEAT wanted to return and play at the KFC Yum! Center for a third year in a row.”
