Keldon Johnson is one of 20 players named to the preseason watch list for the Erving Award, given annually to the best small forward in college basketball players. The only other SEC player to make the list is Tennessee’s Admiral Schofield.

In February, the watch list will be cut to ten and the five finalists will be revealed in March. The winner will be presented at The College Basketball Awards in Los Angeles, CA on Friday, April 12, 2019.
Yesterday, Tyler Herro was named to the watch list for the Jerry West Award, given to the nation’s best shooting guard. Curiously, neither Ashton Hagans, Immanuel Quickley, or Quade Green made the watch list for the Bob Cousy Award, given to the nation’s best point guard. Players can play their way onto the list throughout the season, so I have a feeling that will change.
