Perry's leadership in the Ryder Cup and three PGA tour victories in 2008 earned him the nod. He finished in front of his Ryder Cup teammate and former Wildcat JB Holmes, Celtics' world champion Rajon Rondo and Lexington's Adam Bender, an eight-year-old who overcame the amputation of his leg due to cancer and gained national attention because of his commitment to playing youth sports. Congratulations to Kenny Perry, proud fellow Lone Oak grad and Bluegrass Sportsman of the Year.
