Kentucky -6 against Providence

friar Happy December 1st.  Football season is officially over and for me, tonight marks the official beginning of basketball season.  Yes, I am aware that basketball season officially began in October for most of the Big Blue Nation.  When the Cats' take the floor tonight against the Friars of Providence, they do so as a 6 point favorite (5 1/2 in some books).  After two closer-than-expected games (7-point win over Cleveland State and an 18-point win over Eastern Michigan), Vegas isn't giving Kentucky the wiggle-room that they have become accustomed to in the point spread this season. Here is a somewhat surprising stat: dating back to last season, the Wildcats have lost their last seven games played away from Rupp Arena. This doesn't have much bearing on this years team obviously, but I'd say it was in the back of the handicappers' minds when they formulated this spread. Kentucky currently sits at 2-2-1 against the spread on the season. This game should provide the second real test of the year for this youthful team.  I'll say Kentucky covers and wins by 8 points, 76-68. Who ya got?
