(Chet White/UK Athletics) The Kentucky baseball team will play 31 games against teams from the 2012 NCAA Tournament field and 24 against top-15 RPI teams in 2013. The challenging lineup of games was announced today by head coach Gary Henderson. The Cats have a load of talent returning from a team that shocked the nation last year. Headlined by Austin Cousino, A.J. Reed and Corey Littrell, Kentucky baseball will look to continue the momentum gained from their 45-wins a season ago. UK will play 55 percent of its 56-game schedule in 2013 against NCAA Tournament teams from last season. Most of those opponents come from the always-dominant Southeastern Conference. Kentucky has 33 games scheduled at home in Cliff Hagan Stadium, and 23 on the road. One notable out of conference game away from home is Kansas State; a middle-of-the-pack team in their conference, but an experience playing a team from the Big 12 nonetheless. Out of conference homes games include Murray State, Eastern Kentucky, Cincinnati, Xavier, Indiana and a three-game series with Michigan State. A home-and-home two-game series with Western Kentucky and Louisville are also on the schedule. [Source: UK Athletics]
