After wins over Mount St. Mary’s and Ohio, Kentucky is back in the top ten of the AP Poll. Or, rather, the top eleven. The new Top 25 is out and the Cats are tied for tenth with Alabama. That’s a rise of three spots from last week.

Gonzaga and UCLA are still No. 1 and No. 2 in the poll, with Purdue hopping Kansas to take the No. 3 spot. In addition to Kentucky and Alabama, four other SEC teams are in the Top 25: Arkansas (13), Tennessee (15), Auburn (19), and Florida (23).

Ohio State dropped out of the rankings and Notre Dame and Louisville didn’t even receive votes, so Kentucky’s next game vs. a Top 25 opponent isn’t until Jan. 15 at Tennessee.
