Kentucky did not receive any votes in AP Poll, 11 in Coaches Poll

As expected, Kentucky remained out of the AP Top 25 for the second week in a row; however, it’s worth noting that following the 26-point loss to Alabama, the Cats failed to get a single vote.

The list of teams receiving votes outside of the Top 25 this week includes Baylor, Clemson, FAU, Indiana, Michigan State, Mississippi State, North Carolina, and LSU. New Mexico even got two votes and Nevada one. Nowhere to be seen: your University of Kentucky Wildcats. And watching them on Saturday, it’s completely understandable, even expected.

When it comes to teams that are ranked, Houston is No. 1, followed by Kansas and Purdue. Alabama rose to No. 4 after Saturday’s blowout, and Tennessee, who the Cats face on Saturday is now No. 5. From the SEC, Arkansas is No. 15, Missouri No. 20, and Auburn No. 21.

Kentucky drops out of Coaches Poll, receives 11 votes

Last week, Kentucky hung on in the Coaches Poll, tied for 25th, but fell out today. The Cats did receive 11 votes, putting them just ahead of North Carolina at No. 36. Alabama and Tennessee are top five teams per the coaches as well.
