After coming in at No. 15 last week, the Cats found themselves at No. 20 overall this afternoon, dropping five spots. This is the third consecutive week Kentucky has been in the rankings, the first time that has happened since 2007. Elsewhere in the SEC, Alabama stuck around at No. 1, followed by Georgia at No. 2 and LSU at No. 12. Florida jumped all the way to No. 16 on the list, followed by Auburn at No. 21. Following their victory over the Cats, Texas A&M also reentered the poll at No. 22. I’m not sure an overtime loss on the road as a 6.5-point underdog justifies a five-spot drop, but to each their own. The AP Poll comes out at 2:00 p.m. ET.
