Kentucky falls to South Carolina 38-17

by:Rashawn Franklin09/29/12
After QB Max Smith goes down on the first drive with an ankle injury, freshman QB Jalen Whitlow steps in and carries the Cats to a 17-7 lead going into the half. The wheels started to fall off in the second, though, and Kentucky couldn't hold off the Gamecocks for the upset. South Carolina scores 31 unanswered points to end the game, and wins it 38-17. I'll be back a little later with a longer recap. Feel free to discuss among yourselves until then.
